The Roadtrips Story

Roadtrips started as a part-time business when company President Dave Guenther was attending university in Winnipeg, Canada, running student-friendly bus trips to concerts, sporting events and spring break locations around North America. After completing a degree in commerce, Guenther dabbled in financial services before realizing work should be fun. He returned to the travel industry and founded Roadtrips.

By 1993, Roadtrips was concentrating on providing premium vacation packages to diehard sports fans, featuring season-ticket quality seats, luxury motorcoach transportation and first-class hotel accommodations. In short order, the company carved out its niche as the largest hockey tour operator in the world, running several multi-city, multi-game hockey tours each year.

Roadtrips rapidly expanded its services, adding football, basketball, baseball, golf, auto racing, horse racing, tennis and soccer to its roster of sports vacation packages. The company also offers getaways to every single NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA game. The result is the most complete product line in the sports travel industry.

Over the past 16 years, Roadtrips has also become a player in the incentive travel and corporate hospitality industry. In addition to offering custom vacation and event packages to corporate clients (including some of the world’s largest brands and Fortune 100 companies), Roadtrips has established relationships with some of the largest operators in the incentives marketplace, including both private label and online programs.

Throughout its evolution, Roadtrips has remained dedicated to providing the best in customer service. Every day, Roadtrips strives to create special moments and memories for each guest, while ensuring every detail is taken care of for every client. Roadtrips takes pride in their role as a recognized leader in the travel industry, further emphasized by the fact most annual business comes from repeat customers and referrals.

Roadtrips is the Official Travel Partner of the Presidents Cup 2007 and the Hockey Hall of Fame. As well, Roadtrips is the Official Sports Travel Provider of the Virtuoso Network and a member of Meeting Planners International, The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives, and both the American and Canadian Incentive Marketing Associations.

Roadtrips company remains in Winnipeg – a city which offers a convenient time zone for both east and west coasts - and employs more than 20 people.
